27/03/2006 – Krishnan Sasikiran ganó el Trophee Universitaire en La Roche sur Yon (15 al 24 de marzo) con 6/9. En segundo lugar quedó clasificado Christan Bauer con medio punto de desventaja. En la última ronda el francés no pudo evitar su derrota contra Istratescu. En total participaron 10 jugadores de ocho países diferentes. Entre ellos estaba el español Rodríguez Guerrero.
