LXIV Congreso Mundial de composiciones de Ajedrez 2022

El Emirato de Fujarathi acoge el 64º Congreso Mundial de Composición de Ajedrez. El patrocinio ha sido asumido por el príncipe heredero, el jeque Mohammed bin Hamad al Sharqi. El emirato de Fujairah está situado en el Golfo de Omán, cerca de la frontera con el Sultanato de Omán. Fujairah está conectada con los emiratos de la costa del Golfo Pérsico por varias carreteras y una autopista de dos carriles. El puerto y el aeropuerto son los importantes puntos de llegada y salida logística para el tráfico y el transporte de mercancías. Además se está construyendo conexiones por ferrocarril para conectarse también por esa vía con los demás Emirates Árabes vecinos. Fujairah es un importante centro comercial, con varias universidades, pero también un centro educativo.

El Congreso de Composiciones de Ajedrez se inauguró el día 12 de noviembre por el Dr. Adbulla AAL Barket, el presidente del club.

El lugar del encuentro es el Novotel Fujairah. El 13 de noviembre, los miembros de la Federación Mundial de Composición de Ajedrez (WFCC) se reunieron para debatir diversos temas de actualidad. En los días siguientes se van a reunir las distintas comisiones de la federación. El último día se llevaron a cabo las elecciones del Presidium del CMCA.
Dentro del marco del Congreso Mundial de Composición de Ajedrez, se llevará a cabo una serie de activdades relacionadas con la composición de problemas de ajedrez, entre ellos el 45º Campeonato del Mundo de Problemas de Ajedrez.
En total están participando unos 402 participantes de 45 países en las distintas pruebas, con una bolsa de premios de 40.000 dólares. Los participantes más conocidos son los grandes maestros Kacper Piorun, de Polonia, y Pavel Eljanov, de Ucrania.

El lunes, 14 de noviembre e disputó un torneo abierto de composiciones de ajdrez. El vencedor de la competición fue GM Danila Pavlov, por delante de Eddy Van Beers (Bélgica) y Ofer Comay (Israel).
El martes y el miércoles se llevará a cabo el Campeonato del Mundo de Problemas de Ajedrez. En dicha competición participan 81 jugadores de 23 países. En total se disputarán seis rondas.
Los aspirantes el título tendrán que aforntar diversos tipos de composiciones de problemas (mates en tres, en dos, finales de tres, mates de ayuda de tres, mates de varios movimiento y mates a uno mismo). Hay un tiempo limitado para crear los problemas.

El congreso concluirá el día 19 de noviembre, con un torneo de ajedrez relámpago en el que se han inscrito 270 jugadores.
