En abril los Torneos de Candidatos en las secciones absoluta y femenina serán el acontecimiento más destacado. Pero hay otras competiciones interesantes más, por ejemplo, el Abierto de Menorca, el Sunway Formentera, el TePe Sigeman & Co. en Malmoe (Suecia). 04/04/2024 – Entre el 2 y el 7 de abril de 2024 se disputa la tercera edición del Abierto de Menorca. En total se disputan nueve rondas, por sistema suizo. Hoy toca jornada de doble vuelta con las rondas 4 y 5. Tras dos rondas, quedaban 26 jugadores con el marcador perfecto, encabezados por GM Jorden van Foreest, GM Kirill Alekseenko, GM Alan Pichot y GM Max Warmerdam.
