15/04/2024 – En la sección absoluta del Torneo de Candidatos de la FIDE, la partida ganada por Vidit Santosh Gujrathi contra Hikaru Nakamura fue todo un espectáculo. Nakamura, con problemas relacionados con el manejo del tiempo, cometió varios errores y tuvo que darse por vencido. Gukesh y Nepomniachtchi siguen siendo colíderes del Torneo de Candidatos de la FIDE con 5,5/9 puntos. En la novena ronda del Torneo de Candidatas de la FIDE Tan Zhongyi (en la foto) recuperó el mando en solitario tras su victoria con las piezas negras frente a Vaishali.
