El duelo por el título de "Campeón del Mundo de Ajedrez" se disputará durante 3 semanas, entre el 11 y el 30 de noviembre de 2016 entre Magnus Carlsen (25 años), de Noruega y Sergey Karjakin (26 años), de Rusia.
