Abierto Aeroflot 2018 en Moscú
Entre el 20 y el 28 de febrero de 2018, se disputará el XVI Abierto Aeroflot en Moscú. Habrá tres torneos abiertos por sistema suizo a nueve rondas, ordenados por fuerza de juego. El grupo A será uno de los abiertos más fuertes de todos los tiempos, con una valoración Elo mínima de 2550 puntos como criterio de participación. El principal favorito es Vladimir Fedoseev (Rusia, Elo 2724). El segundo favorito es el joven fenómeno indio Vidit Gujrathi que tiene tan solo un punto Elo menos que el primero.
Los participantes el grupo A resulta francamente imporesionantes: aparte del ganador de la edición del año pasado, Vladimir Fedoseev, están Vidit Santosh Gujrathi (India, 2723), Dmitry Andreikin (Rusia, 2712), Rauf Mamedov (Azerbaiyán, 2709) y Maxim Matlakov (Rusia, 2709). Gata Kamsky también se ha animado a acudir a Moscú de nuevo.
El ganador, además del premio en metálico de apróximadamente 18.000 euros, recibirá una invitación para el supertorneo de Dortmund en julio.
Ronda 3: Bologan y Petrosian con el marcador perfecto
Desde luego, parece que existe algún tipo de enlace especial entre el torneo Aeroflot y Viktor Bologan. El gran maesto de Moldavia acaparó la antención en el Abierto Aeroflot 2003. En aquel entonces no solamente se adjudicó la victoria en el torneo, sino que a fue invitado a Dortmund y se clasificó por delante de Kramnik, Anand, Radjabov, Leko y Naiditsch. ¡A ver si tiene previsto repetir algún tipo de hazaña parecida!
