29/09/2023 – Del primero de octubre al 7 de octubr se disputa la Copa de Europa por clubes en las secciones absoluta y femenina. En la sección absoluta participan 84 equipos, entre ellos están los tres clubes españoles Silla Chess Club, Paterna Chessclub y el Diagonal Alcorcón. En la sección femenina compiten 25 clubes (ninguno de España). El equipo favorito de la sección absoluta es el club Superchess, con Vishy Anand, Richard Rapport, Bogdan-Daniel Deac, Kirill Shevchenko, Jorden van Foreest, Vladimir Fedoseev, Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu y Constin Lupuluscu. El club Montecarlo es el favorito de la femenina el Montecarlo, con Almira Skripchenko como capitana.
