30/03/2022 – Ayer se disputaron los dos duelos de desempate en el Grand Prix de la FIDE en Berlín (2). Hikaru Nakamura y Amin Tabatabaei ya se habían clasificado para las semifinales sin necesidad de desempatar. En el duelo de desempate del grupo B, Vincent Keyer y Shakhriyar Mamedyarov se enfrentaron en una lucha muy interesante y emocionante. Finalmente, Keyer quedó derrotado tras la tanda de partidas de ajedrez relámpago. En el duelo del grupo C, Wesley So se impuso a Sam Shankland en las partidas de ajedrez rápido. Grand Prix de la FIDE 2022 en Berlín

El Grand Prix de la FIDE, organizado por World Chess, es una serie de tres torneos con 24 jugadores en total, de los cuales todos competirán en dos de los tres torneos. Los dos mejores clasificados al final del circuito se clasificarán para el Torneo de Candidatos que se disputará en junio de este año en Madrid, España.
Los tres torneos de la serie del Grand Prix se disputarán en Berlín, Belgrado y nuevamente Berlín, respectivamente.
La bolsa de premios asciende a 150.000 euros por cada uno de los tres acontecimientos.
Entre el 22 de marzo y el 4 de abril de 2022 se disputará la tercera y última manga de la serie de torneos del grand Prix, en esta ocasión nuevamente en Berlín. Las rondas comenzarán a las 15:00 CET/CEST (CEST a partir del domingo, 27 de marzo por el cambio de hora al horario de verano).

Cada uno de los participantes participará en dos de los tres torneos de la serie (Berlín, Belgrado, Berlín. Cada uno de los acontecimientos será un torneo con 16 jugadores por sistema de todos contra todos, seguido por una semifinal por sistema eliminatorio con los cuatro mejores jugadores. Los jugadores recibirán puntos de Grand Prix, relacionados con el puesto que vayan ocupando en la clasificación de cada competición. Los dos jugadores que al final de la serie hayan sumado la mayor cantidad de puntos, se clasificarán para el Torneo de Candidatos 2022.
