La Reina de Katwe
La película cuenta s la historia de Phiona Mutesi, una niña ugandesa que desafió a su destino. Nacida el 28 de marzo de 1996 en una chabola de Katwe, el peor suburbio de Kampala. en un entorno con el mayor índice de infección por VIH, en el que las mujeres sólo son consideradas para el sexo (el 50% de las adolescentes son madres) y el cuidado de la prole. Phiona llegó al milenario juego a los 14 años de manera casi milagrosa. Con fe cristina, descubrió que en el interior de la iglesia Agape, en una pequeña habitación con suelo de tierra y paredes de chapa y madera, el exfutbolista Robert Katende enseñaba ajedrez a través del programa Sports Outreach Institute. Fue así como esa niña de piel negra, ojos de asombro y cabello rapado descubrió.
