02/11/2023 – Entre el 25 de octubre y el 5 de noviembre se disputa uno de los torneos más anhelados de este año, el torneo 'Grand Swiss' o Gran Suizo, en la Isla de Man. El torneo Gran Suizo es un elemento fundamental del circuito por el Campeonato del Mundo de la FIDE. Su carácter democrático atrae a jugadores de todo el mundo, dándoles la oportunidad de clasificarse para el Torneo de Candidatos. En la sección absoluta participan 114 jugadores, entre ellos Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Alireza Firouzja, Anish Giri, etc. y 50 jugadoras en la sección femenina. Las favoritas son Aleksandra Goryachkina, Alexandra Kosteniuk y Mariya Muzychuk.
