02/07/2020 – El fin de semana pasado se disputó un duelo cibernético entre Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu (Federación Alemana de Ajedrez) y Mustafa Yilmaz (Federación Turca de Ajedrez) en el servidor de ChessBase, Playchess.com. Duelo de rápidas GM Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu y GM Mustafa Yilmaz
Durante cuatro días del 26 al 29 de junio de 2020, el número uno de Alemania Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu y la estrella turca Mustafa Yilmaz se enfrentaron en un duelo cibernético en el servidor de ChessBase, Playchess.com. El duelo llevaba el nombre "Grandmaster Battle". Organizadora era la Federación Turca de Ajedrez que también ofrecía comentarios en directo en turco.
En cada una de las cuatro jornadas se disputaron 4 partidas, con un ritmo de juego de 15 minutos, más 10 segundos de incremento por movimiento. Es decir, en total se disputaron 16 partidas.

En la octava partida, Nisipeanu plantó un Gambito Schara-Henning y alcanzó una ventaja muy fuerte pero al final no logró ganar la partida.
