08/03/2017 – Sólo se puede calificar como éxito aplastante un torneo para normas en el que 3 de los 7 aspirantes a lograrla la consiguen. La mezcla de jugadores jóvenes y ambiciosos junto con gran cantidad de ajedrez de lucha fue la receta de ese gran éxito. Terminaron en lo más alto dos MI, el australiano Bobby Cheng y el holandés Lucas Van Foreest, que lograron ambos norma de GM. Alexandr Fier completa el reportaje del torneo.
03/03/2017 – Después de haber regresado de su patria (Brasil), Alexandr Fier está participando en el IX Torneo Batavia en Ámsterdam antes de regresar a su nuevo país de residencia, Georgia. El lugar del encuentro en Ámsterdam es un pequeño bar y según Alexandr, es uno de los torneos más entrañables que ha visto. Nos ha mandado un reportaje gráfico a mitad de la competición.
