21/08/2024 – Spilimbergo es una ciudad pintoresca con unos 12.000 habitantes, situada a unos 100 kilómetros al noreste de Venecia. La ciudad es especialmente famosa por su escuela de mosaicos, de más de 100 años de antigüedad, y por el ajedrez. Este año, el festival de ajedrez de la ciudad se ha celebrado por 22ª vez y ha atraído a 450 participantes de 31 países. Entre ellos estaba también Levy «Gotham Chess» Rozman, que quería dar un paso más en su camino hacia la maestría en la ciudad italiana. Al final, sin embargo, el ganador del torneo fue el MI iraní Orimi Mahdi Gholami, que se impuso con 7 de 9 puntos. 11/01/2024 – Alrededor del cambio de año, entre las Navidades y los primeros días de enero, se suelen organizar varios torneos abiertos dado que la gente tiende a tener días libres o tomarse un respiro de los compromisos habituales más fácilmente en esa época del año. Uno de los torneos abiertos también el Staufer Open, en Schwäbisch Gmünd (Alemania) que se organizó por 34ª vez. Participaron más de 500 jugadores aficionados en los dos grupos de juego, A y B. 09/11/2022 – A principios de noviembre, hubo muchas oportunidades para jugar al ajedrez en el sur de Alemania, con dos torneos abiertos otoñales interesantes. Uno fue el Abierto de Otoño en Deizisau y el otro se disputó en Baden-Baden. Se disputaron 14 partidas en un total de ocho días de competición. 22/08/2019 – Spilimbergo es una pequeña ciudad en Italia septentrional (Alta Italia). Venecia está a apróximadamente una hora en coche. Spilimbargo es conocido por sus morsaicos y su casco viejo pintoresco con el festival medieval en verano. Recientemente se disputó el Abierto Internacional de Ajedrez de Spilimbergo con 357 participantes proveniendo de 25 países.
