07/08/2018 – El 105to Campeonato Británico se jugó en Hull, Inglaterra, entre el 28 de julio y el 5 de agosto. Michael Adams se llevó el título después de superar a Luke McShane en los desempates a rápidas y blitz. Este fue el sexto título de Adams, mientras que McShane sigue siendo el más fuerte jugador británico que nunca ha ganado el título nacional.
