Emil Sutovsky es Presidente de la Asociación de Profesionales del Ajedrez. Nació en 1977 y reside en Holon (Israel). En enero de 2012 alcanzó la clasificación más alta de su carrera: 2708 puntos Elo. Su posición más alta en la clasificación fue la del 17° mejor jugador del mundo. Emil Sutovsky es el Campeón de Europa de 2001, así como ganador y premiado en más de 100 torneos internacionales. Emil tiene una amplia experiencia en la participación en programas de televisión y radio y es autor de más de cien publicaciones sobre el tema del ajedrez.

09/12/2016 – A Yasser Seirawan no le gusta el formato actual del mundial y ha propuesto alternativas. Emil Sutovsky (ACP) también ha dado sus puntos de vista. Opina que 12 partidas son pocas. No le parece justo que campeón vigente defienda mantenga el título en caso de empate. Le gusta la idea del desempate con partidas rápidas, pero que se disputaran antes de las clásicas.
