26/07/2017 – La Asociación China de Ajedrez no oculta sus aspiraciones a contar con un campeón del mundo de ajedrez chino algún día. Para incentivar y entrenar a los muchos jóvenes talentos chinos, a lo largo de los últimos años se han organizado diversos duelos contra jugadores de la elite mundial, con los que la cantera china ha ido adquiriendo práctica. El encuentro más reciente lo acaban de disputar Alexander Grischuk y Yu Yangyi. Se impuso la estrella rusa por 3:1. Liang Ziming nos ha enviado un reportaje.
07/04/2017 – La primera partida del duelo amistoso "Copa MEWE" entre Hou Yifan y Vassily Ivanchuk había concluido en tablas. En la segunda, Ivanchuk se impuso con negras. Hou Yifan había cometido un crucial error en el movimiento 37 y perdió. En la tercera volvieron a empatar con lo cual ahora Vassily Ivanchuk manda 2:1.
