Mónica Calzetta Ruiz nació en Ginebra, Suiza, el 29 de noviembre de 1972. Es una gran maestra femenina (WGM) de ajedrez española. Es (co-)organizadora del Festival de Ajedrez de Calvià.
29/11/2019 – Tras competir en el Campeonato de España más fuerte de la historia, la WGM Mónica Calzetta nos envía dos partidas exhaustivamente comentadas en las que nos resume los mejores logros de un año en el que ha practicado un ajedrez de muy buen nivel. Mónica quedo a las puertas de obtener en Marbella su octavo título nacional pese a ser la jugadora con mejor actuación Elo del torneo.
