03/02/2021 – Hoy será la primera jornada del torneo magistral del Festival de Ajedrez de Salamanca. Se disputarán las dos primeras rondas, a partir de las 16:00 CET. Hay retransmisiones de las partidas en live.chessbase.com. Previamente a eso, a las 12:00 CET habrá conferencia a cargo del profesor de enseñanza secundaria y técnico del área de programas educativos de Salamanca, Luis Sánchez Arévalo. Expondrá las razones por las que el ajedrez debe introducirse en los planes educativos. La charla se retransmite en directo en YouTube (dentro de esta noticia y en la web de los organizadores).

III Festival de Ajedrez de Salamanca
Del 2 al 6 de febrero de 2021, en Salamanca
El III Festival de Ajedrez de Salamanca, que se celebrará del 2 al 6 de febrero, cambia la sede prevista y tendrá lugar en el Palacio del Arzobispo Fonseca. En un primer momento el Festival iba a celebrarse en el Paraninfo de la Universidad, pero las medidas de precaución relacionadas con el covid-19, han hecho cambiar de idea. De esta manera, el Palacio del Arzobispo Fonseca será un espacio controlado sanitariamente y con todas las medidas de seguridad que se establecen por parte de la Junta de Castilla y León.

La conferencia de Luis Sánchez Arévalo "El ajedrez en la educación"
Miércoles, 3 de febrero, a partir de las 12:00 CET
Cada vez son más las Comunidades Autónomas que están integrando el ajedrez en sus planes educativos habida cuenta de sus contrastadas cualidades como herramienta pedagógica. En esta ponencia el profesor de enseñanza secundaria y técnico del área de programas educativos de Salamanca Luis Sánchez Arévalo expondrá las razones por las que el ajedrez debe introducirse en los planes educativos y el punto en el que se encuentra en nuestro país tras la recomendación de la Comisión de Educación del Congreso de ampliar su presencia en los centros escolares.
