Circuito de Córcega 2011
El circuito comenzó en 1997, con tan solo un puñado de jugadores aficionados. Hoy por hoy, Córcega está celebrando la edición número XV de su torneo, en una isla que bate todos los récords en cuanto a ajedrecistas "per
cápita" (tiene 5.375 jugadores federados activos y la población de la isla es de 300.000 habitantes). A pesar del ambiente económicamente difícil, los organizadores han logrado mantener el nivel de premios (95.000 euros) y han
movilizado a un total de ¡124 patrocinadores! Participan cientos de jóvenes jugadores en este acontecimiento que este año da la bienvenida a 800 amigos ajedrecistas de cinco continentes.
