El Champions Showdown: The Kings 2025 es un evento de exhibición que reúne a seis de los mejores jugadores de ajedrez de Estados Unidos. La competición se desarrolla entre el 4 y el 6 de marzo y consiste en un triatlón diario que incluye partidas en tres modalidades: blitz, rápidas y semi-clásicas. A diferencia de los torneos tradicionales, este formato pone a prueba la capacidad de adaptación de los ajedrecistas en diferentes ritmos de juego a lo largo de tres días de competición.
El torneo cuenta con la participación de los grandes maestros Levon Aronian, Fabiano Caruana, Leinier Domínguez, Hikaru Nakamura, Ray Robson y Wesley So.
Se distribuye un fondo de premios de 250.000 dólares, con un esquema de pagos basado en el tipo de partida: 4.500 dólares por cada partida blitz, 9.000 por las rápidas y 14.000 por las semi-clásicas. Además, un comité designado otorga un premio especial de 2.500 dólares a la partida más brillante del evento.
