Creado en 2000, el Campeonato de Europa es uno de los torneos abiertos más importantes del calendario ajedrecístico. Dado que la pandemia impidió la organización del evento de 2020, este año se celebran las ediciones número 23 tanto del campeonato abierto como del femenino.
Además de luchar por el primer premio de 10.000 euros, las jugadoras intentarán terminar entre las 9 primeras de la clasificación, ya que este evento también sirve como clasificatorio para la Copa Mundial Femenina de la FIDE.
In a total of 6 chapters, we look at the following aspects: the right decision based on tactical factors, decisions in exchanges and moves, complex and psychological decisions in longer games and in defence.
El torneo es un abierto suizo a 11 rondas con un control de tiempo de 90 minutos para 40 movimientos, seguidos de 30 minutos hasta el final de la partida, más un incremento de 30 segundos a partir de la primera jugada.
Las rondas se jugarán diariamente del 17 al 30 de marzo, a partir de las 15:00 CET. El viernes 24 de marzo es el único día de descanso.
