26/04/2012 – ¿Sería la dramática tercera partida la que cansó a Levon Aronian o fue que no se le ocurrió ninguna respuesta buena contra la Berlinesa de Kramnik? En todo caso, la cuarta partida del duelo en Zurich terminó en tablas tras tan solo 25 jugadas y dos horas escasas. Hasta entonces no había pasado nada llamativo y tampoco habían demostrado mucho empeño. Kramnik había invertido ocho minutos para reflexionar, antes de realizar el movimiento 17...Rc8 y ninguno de los dos se paró a pensar durante más tiempo que ese en los demás movimientos. Al menos, el público tuvo el placer de contemplar una partida de ajedrez rápido entre las dos estrellas para compensar, aunque no cuente para el marcador. En ella Kramnik estuvo en su elemento. En una Española, Vladimir complicó la partida justo después de la apertura con un sacrificio de peón. Duelo Kramnik vs. Aronian en Zúrich
Entre el 21 y el 28 de abril, habrá un duelo amistoso, el Zurich Chess Challenge ("Reto de Ajedrez de Zúrich") entre los números dos y tres del mundo, Levon Aronian y Vladimir Kramnik. Mañana se disputará la primera partida, a partir de las 15:00 horas. Se juega con el control de tiempo clásico. Los organizadores, la Sociedad de Ajedrez de Zúrich, el club de ajedrez más antiguo del mundo, ofrecerán cobertura en directo con vídeo y comentarios en su sitio web.
