La séptima edición del Festival de Ajedrez de Praga se celebra del 26 de febrero al 7 de marzo en el Hotel Don Giovanni, en la capital de Chequia. El evento está nuevamente organizado por el reconocido Club de Ajedrez Novy Bor, dirigido por Petr Boleslav. Siguiendo el modelo del torneo de Wijk aan Zee, con secciones Masters, Challengers y Futures, el festival busca consolidar su lugar en el calendario anual del ajedrez competitivo.
Las rondas se disputan diariamente, excepto el 3 de marzo, que será el único día de descanso del evento. Las partidas se juegan con un control de tiempo clásico y, en caso de empate en el primer puesto, se llevará a cabo un desempate para encontrar un ganador.
