23/03/2020 – Este fin de semana se disputaron las rondas cuatro y cinco del Torneo de Candidatos en Ekaterinburgo. El sábado, todas las partidas habían concluido en tablas. Ayer en la quinta ronda, Ian Nepomniachthi venció a Wang Hao y ha tomado el mando en solitario como primer jugador del torneo. Kirill Alekseenko y Maxime Vachier-Lagrave se planteraron una agresiva Najdorf que finalmente desembocó en un empate por triple repetición de jugadas. Anish Giri no consiguó en victoria una posición prometedora en su partida con Fabiano Caruana.
