El Campeonato Mundial Femenino de Ajedrez FIDE 2025 es la culminación del Ciclo del Campeonato Mundial Femenino de Ajedrez 2023-2025 y presentará una esperada revancha entre dos de las mejores grandes maestras de China: la actual campeona, Ju Wenjun, y la retadora, Tan Zhongyi. El título de Campeona Mundial de Ajedrez se decidirá en 12 partidas y un desempate, de ser necesario.
El match por el título se lleva a cabo del 1 al 23 de abril de 2025, en dos ciudades chinas: Shanghái y Chongqing.
El control de tiempo para cada partida es de 90 minutos para las primeras 40 jugadas, seguido de 30 minutos para el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos por movimiento a partir de la primera jugada.
Para la primera etapa en Shanghái, la sede oficial es la Academia de Ajedrez de Shanghái. Para la segunda etapa en Chongqing, la sede oficial es la Biblioteca del Distrito de Fuling.
