A jugarse el lunes 28 de julio desde las 13.00 hora de Madrid
A diferencia de ediciones anteriores, la Copa del Mundo Femenina no se está jugando en paralelo con la Copa del Mundo FIDE, programada para noviembre.
Como si el fondo total de premios de 691.250 USD —con 50.000 USD para la ganadora— no fuera suficiente para motivar a las jugadoras, la Copa del Mundo también otorga tres plazas para el Torneo de Candidatas FIDE, que se celebrará en la primera mitad de 2026.
El torneo por eliminatorias consta de siete rondas, y todas las rondas se disputan en matches de dos partidas clásicas, más un desempate si fuera necesario.
El control de tiempo para cada partida clásica es de 90 minutos para los primeros 40 movimientos, seguidos de 30 minutos para el resto de la partida, con un incremento de 30 segundos por jugada desde el primer movimiento.
Desempates
Si el marcador está igualado tras las dos partidas regulares, después de un nuevo sorteo de colores realizado inmediatamente después de la Partida 2, se jugarán dos partidas de desempate con un control de tiempo de 15 minutos por jugadora + 10 segundos de incremento por jugada desde el movimiento 1.
Si el marcador sigue igualado, se realizará un nuevo sorteo de colores y se jugarán 2 partidas con control de tiempo de 10 + 10.
Si el marcador sigue igualado, se realizará un nuevo sorteo de colores y se jugarán 2 partidas con control de tiempo de 5 + 3.
Si el marcador sigue igualado, se realizará un nuevo sorteo de colores y se jugarán 2 partidas con control de tiempo de 3 + 2.
Si el marcador sigue igualado, se realizará un nuevo sorteo de colores y se jugarán 2 partidas con control de tiempo de 3 + 2, con los colores invertidos respecto a la partida anterior.
Si la partida descrita anteriormente termina en tablas, se repetirá el mismo procedimiento hasta que una jugadora gane una partida.
