07/12/2012 – El éxito de Anna Ushenina en el Campeonato del Mundo Femenino fue una sorpresa.
Nadie había contado con la ucrania de 27 años como nueva campeona mundial, al menos a primera vista. Anna se abrió paso
hasta la final tras eliminar a Deysi Cori, Anna Muzychuk, Natalia Pogonina, Nadezhda Kositnseva y Ju Wenjun, todas jugadoras muy fuertes.
En la final se tuvo que ver las caras con la excampeona Antoaneta Stefanova, con lo cual no pasaba por ser la favorita.

Dos veces campeona sub-14 de Ucrania (1998 y 1999)
Dos veces campeona sub-20 de Ucrania (2000 y 2002)
Campeona de Europa con el equipo de Ucrania en la sección femenina sub-18 (+ medalla de plata por el segundo mejor resultado individual)
Campeona de Ucrania Femenina y medalla de bronce en el Campeonato de Ucrania Femenino sub-20
Ucrania gana la medalla de oro en la Olimpiada de Ajedrez en Turín 2006. El mismo año también queda subcampeona de Ucrania
Gana el Campeonato de Ucrania 2007, el Campeonato de Europa Femenino por Equipos y la medalla de oro por el mejor resultado individual
Gana la medalla de plata en la Olimpiada de Ajedrez 2008 en Dresde con el equipo femenino de Ucrania y gana la medalla de plata individual. Queda tercera en el Campeonato de Europa Femenino.
En el mismo año ocupa el segundo lugar en el supertorneo ruso en Krasnoturinsk y también en el Abierto de Moscú (femenino C)
En 2009 gana la medalla de bronce con el equipo femenino de Ucrania en el Campeonato del Mundo por
Equipos en Ningbo (China). Gana la medalla de bronce en el Campeonato de Europa por
Equipos en Novi Sad (Serbia).
Gana la Copa del Presidente en Jarkov
Campeona del Mundo Femenina 2012 en Khanty-Mansiysk. Previamente también gana la medalla de bronce con
el equipo de Ucrania en la Olimpiada de Ajedrez en Estambul.
