¿Cómo hay que hacer para construir un tablero electrónico?
¿No le encanta la idea de ser dueño de un tablero electrónico, no muy caro, hecho
en casa? No es imposible. Bryan Whitby ha creado una página web llamada
USB Chess Board con instrucciones paso
a paso y muchas fotografías que muestran cómo hay que hacer para construir un tablero
HUM (Hágalo usted mismo) USB que se puede usar en Playchess.
La idea comienza con un tablero barato que tan solo cuesta unos $8-$25 y se llama "USB Portable Roll Up Chess Game".
A partir de allí, usted podría elegir entre dos diseños básicos, siendo el primero uno que parece ser de madera:

Hemos dicho "podría elegir" porque si quiere un tablero de madera que sea electrónico, le tendrá que hacer unos agujeritos con la taladradora. Y si opta por el tablero de
vinilo, también se necesita un sistema de conexión con el tablero de
vinilo, que con un marco de madera adquiere un toque de clase.
La construcción del tablero
No le parece chulo... Su amigo le dice: "Bonito tablero electrónico" y
usted le contesta: "Pues sí: lo he construido yo mismo".

Primero hay que hacerle agujeritos
Necesitará los pedacitos de madera para insertarlos en los agujeros
De esta manera, sus piezas podrán situarse encima de los trocitos de madera presionando sin tener que
sujetar las piezas. A las piezas se añade un delgado anillo de un material suave.
Claro, los trocitos de madera no emitirán señales electrónicos por magia-potagia. Por lo tanto hay que instalar pequeños contactos electrónicos en la parte inferior del tablero.
Una vez que eso está hecho, les facilitará información sobre cómo el tablero podrá trabajar con Fritz
