16/04/2005 – El Gran Maestro Rubén Felgaer, de 24 años, será el primer argentino de la historia en superar los 2600 puntos de ELO y además se ubicará entre los 100 mejores jugadores del mundo. Mostró una notable actuación en el Magistral Ciudad de Dos Hermanas. "Siento que el torneo de Sevilla me cambió la vida. Llegué invitado a último momento porque el prodigio noruego Magnus Carlsen, de 14 años, no respondió al llamado. Este certamen se convirtió en una bisagra en mi carrera deportiva", dijo Felgaer en una entrevista con La Nación (Buenos Aires).
