24/06/2005 – El Trofeo Fire on Board, que estaba previsto para este fin de semana en Eschweiler, parece que por el momento no se disputará. Alexei Shirov y Viktor Korschnoi deberían enfrentarse en un encuentro que se retransmitiría por Internet junto con otros acontecimientos (Entre ellos, clases magistrales de ajedrez), previo pago. Parece ser que los organizadores han tenido problemas técnicos en las conexiones de los sistemas de retransmisión que habían ideado y se han visto forzados a posponer el acontecimiento en el último momento, hasta septiembre.
