¡Record en La Habana!

08/12/2002 – Con 11.320 tableros, La Habana recupera el record de la sesión de simultáneas más grande que había conseguido en 1966 y que le había arrebatado México DF. No faltaron ni Fidel Castro ni otros altos miembros del gobierno cubano. El diario Granma nos informa también que en la mayor de las Antillas fue donde se jugó ajedrez por primera vez en América, en 1518 en la ciudad de Bayamo. Tiene un artículo en Granma.
