Tarjeta roja frente al racismo
El domingo pasado, 21 de marzo de 2021, se disputó un torneo cibernético, organizado dentro del marco de la iniciativa "Rot gegen Rassismus" - "Tarjeta roja frente al racismo". El departamento de ajedrez del club deportivo, conocido especialmente por su equipo de fútbol, el Bayern Múnich, se organizó un torneo a través de internet con diez equipos.
Los integrantes de los equipos fueron niños escolares de siete países. La cantidad más elevada de jugadores la tenía el quipo del colegio Overseas Family School de Singapur con 116 alumnos. En total participaron 363 jugadores juveniles. El participante más jovencito tenía 5 añitos, el más mayor 18 años.

Previamente al torneo cibernético, una hora antes de que comenzase, hubo una conferencia en Zoom con 180 participantes. Como acto inaugural, Dijana Dengler presentó el vídeo "Reds against Racism" ("los de rojo contra el racimo" porque las camisetas del Bayern Múnich también son de color rojo).
Hubo otro vídeo producido por el colegio de Singapur que llevaba el título "Jaque y mate al racismo":
A continuación se reprodujeron la canción de ajedrez "Queens and Kings" y una de las canciones de Juga de Prima.
Como invitado especial se conectó la estrella de fútbol del club de fútbol FC Werder Bremen, Marco Bode. Su corazón no únicamente lata por el fútbol, sino también por el ajedrez. Bode ha organizado un proyecto de ajedrez escolar en Bremen y contó algunas anecdotas de su carrera.
En el torneo "Rojo contra el racismo" fue ganado por el equipo suizo Die Schulschachprofis ("Los profesionales del ajedrez escolar"), con 268 puntos. El segundo puesto lo ocuparon los austríacos del Dornbirner Schachjugend con 228 puntos y el tercer puesto fue para el Overseas Family School (220 puntos), de Singapur.
En la reunión posterior al torneo, los organizadores decidieron que había sido un éxito tan grande que se han propuesto organizar este torneo para decir "no al racismo" a ritmo anual.
