Ajedrez en los Juegos del Sudeste Asiático

06/12/2002 – En los próximos juegos del Sudeste Asiático, en diciembre de 2003 en Hanoi (Vietnam) también se incluirá una competición de ajedrez. El ajedrez es uno de los tres nuevos deportes incluidos en estos juegos. En total hay 435 competiciones de 32 disciplinas deportivas. Aunque se haya cerrado la puerta del Comité Olímpico Internacional, parece que los comités regionales y nacionales tienen una opinión más favorable de la repercusión del ajedrez dentro de un acontecimiento multidisciplinar.
