21/03/2003 – Entre el 26 de febrero y el 1 de marzo, se disputaron en la ciudad de Trujillo, en la costa norte del Perú, un abierto y un sub 14. El MI Mario Belli se coronó campeón del torneo absoluto, empatando a puntos con los ajedrecistas Jhoel García y William Moreno.
