Andrzej Domanski vs. Judit Polgar

La partida fue muy emocionante. Andrzej demostró que, si su trabajo fuera menos exigente, habría alcanzado un Elo mucho más alto.

Es bastante difícil precisar en qué momento Judit cometió un error. Pero aquí, si el ministro hubiera encontrado el intermezzo 17.Ag5, Judit habría enfrentado serios problemas. En la partida, sin embargo, las blancas jugaron 17.Cc5?, y Judit salió del apuro.
Es momento de desatar la táctica. Juegan las negras.
Judit encontró la muy bonita 20...Cxd4! 21.cxd4 Dxd4+, contando con el elegante detalle de que, tras 22.De3 Dxe3+ 23.Cxe3, las negras pueden jugar 23...Ab6, ganando la partida.
Lo que me pareció bastante impresionante fue la resistencia y la capacidad de lucha mostradas por Domanski. Aunque tenía tres peones menos, daba la sensación de que aún contaba con algunas opciones gracias a 24.Te8+ y la infiltración de la dama por h6. Pero no fue suficiente, y Judit acabó ganando la partida.
