Aunque ya estaba claro que el OSG Baden-Baden se iba a coronar campeón, se presentaron con la alineación titular y obtuvieron un resultado récord: 30:0 y 92,5 puntos por duelos. Teóricamente ni siquiera habría hecho falta que le equipo Baden-Baden se presentase con su plantel estrella, pero les parecía una cuestión de honor. Desde luego fue toda una gozada ajedrecística ver jugar a ese equipo.

En la ronda final, el Baden-Baden ganó al Mülheim con 7,5:0,5. Mülheim, no obstante, se presentó sin sus principales jugadores.
Durante la última década el equipo del Baden-Baden prácticamente siempre se había alzado con el título. Eso sí, el año pasado el Solingen les arrebató el título. Para evitar que eso se repitiera, el Baden-Baden jugó con los mejores ajedrecistas que tiene contratados y obtuvo un resultado récord de 30:0 puntos. Parece un resultado inmejorable, pero con el Baden-Banden nunca se sabe y ya veremos lo que pasará en la nueva temporada. De los 120 puntos posibles por duelos, el equipo del OSG Baden-Baden sumó 92,5. El equipo defensor del título, el Solingen ocupó el tercer puesto, por detrás del Hockenheim.

La ha ganado por primera vez el equipo SK Schwäbisch Hall. En la última ronda se apuntaron una maravillosa victoria frente al Bayern München. El equipo femenino del OSG Baden-Baden ganó 5:1 al Königshofen, pero eso únicamente les bastó para coronarse subcampeonas. El Könisghofen ocupó el tercer puesto.
