Biel 2011: Shirov reemplazará a Gashimov

14/06/2011 – Ha habido un cambio en los participantes edel torneo de Biel de este año. Debido a la disputa del Campeonato del Mundo por Equipos, la Federación Azerí de Ajedrez ha rogado a los organizadores del Festival de Biel que liberen a Vugar Gashimov de sus obligaciones. Así que han invitado a Alexei Shirov para ocupar su lugar. El torneo se celebrará entre el 18 y el 29 de julio de 2011, en Biel (Suiza) y los participantes serán: Magnus Carlsen (NOR, 2815), Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (FRA, 2731), Alexei Shirov (ESP, 2721), Fabiano Caruana (ITA, 2714) Alexander Morozevich (RUS, 2694) y Yannick Pelletier (SUI, 2587) La bolsa de premios asciende a 43.000 francos suizos.
