Se aplica la regla de Bilbao: 3 puntos por victoria, 1 punto por empate y 0 puntos en caso de derrota.

Reglas de desempate:
Si dos jugadores han sumado la misma cantidad de puntos al final de la décima ronda, habrá un duelo de desempate el viernes, 2 de agosto.
Duelo de desempate: dos partidas rápidas de 15 minutos con un incremento de 10 segundos por movimiento. Si el marcador siguiese igualado, se disputarían dos partidas a 5 mintuos, más 2 segundos de incremento. A continuación, de ser necesario, se disputaría una partida a todo o nada en la cual las blancas disponen de 5 minutos (y tienen que ganar la partida) y 4 minutos para las negras (les basta unas tablas para ganar).
En el caso de que hubiese 3 jugadores con la misma cantidad de puntos tras la última ronda del torneo, el mejor jugador según la valoración I Sonnenborn-Berger se clasificará para el duelo de desempte. Los otros dos jugadores disputarían una semifinal de partidas de ajedrez relámpago (dos partidas a cinco minutos, más 2 segundos de incremento y a continuación, de ser necesario una partida a todo o nada).
En el caso de que 4 jugadores empatasen por puntos en el primer lugar tras la última ronda del torneo, se disputarían unas semifinales de ajedrez relámpago (dos partidas con 5 mintuos, más 2 segundos de incremento y si permaneciese el empate, una partida a todo o nada). Las seminfinales se disputarían entre jugador 1 vs. jugador 4 y jugador 2 vs. jugador 3 (según sus resultados en la valoración Sonnenborn-Berger), El jugador número 1 tiene la posibilidad de elegir los colores y en el otro duelo, el jugador número 2). Los ganadores disputarían la final del desempate según explicado en el punto 2 (partidas rápidas y de ser necesario partidas de ajedrez relámpago)

que en esta ocasión contará con la participación de Bacrot,
Vachier-Lagrave, Rapport, Nepomniachtchi, Liren y Moiseenko, en la
sección magistral, con cuatro jugadores nuevos que debutarán en el
cerrado.
