Tras sufrir pequeños desajustes de tiempo en dos partidas, en las que sin embargo logró sendas tablas sin gran dificultad, la máquina experimental de Chrilly Donninger consiguió vencer en 33 jugadas contra la Caro Kann que le planteó la otrora campeona del mundo Maia Chiburdanidze.
