El primer torneo de la nueva serie de torneos el Grand Prix de la FIDE por sistema eliminatorio. Organizador: World Chess. Se enfrentarán 16 jugadores en Moscú. El Torneo de Candidatas es el torneo que sirve para determinar a la próxima retadora a la Campeona del Mundo Femenina de Ajedrez, Ju Wenjun. El lugar del encuentro del torneo será Kazán, Rusia.
