Campeonato de Europa de Ajedrez Rápido y Relámpago

Cerca de 700 jugadores de 41 federaciones europeas participan en los Campeonatos de Europa de Ajedrez Rápido y Relámpago. El acontecimiento está organizado por la Federación Croata de Ajedrez. El campeonato se celebrará en el Centro de Exposiciones de Zagreb, pabellón 10a.
Los favoritos son el GM David Navara (CZE), GM Etienne Bacrot (FRA), GM Vasyl Ivanchuk (UKR), GM Baadur Jobava (GEO), GM Laurent Fressinet (FRA), GM Sabino Brunello (ITA), GM Alexey Sarana (SRB), GM Haik Martirosyan (ARM), GM Eltaj Safarli (AZE), GM Bogdan-Daniel Deac (ROU) y otros.
El torneo comenzará con el Campeonato Europeo de Ajedrez Rápido (15+10), a 11 rondas suizas, los días 14 y 15 de diciembre. El premio total del evento asciende a 30.000 euros.
El Campeonato Europeo de Ajedrez Relámpago 2023 (3+2) se disputará el 16 de diciembre, a 13 rondas suizas, con una dotación en premios de 15.000 EUR.
