El encuentro de ayer en el primer tablero Ulviyya Fatliyava y Marta García Martín terminó en tablas con lo cual ambas mantienen su posición en la cima de la clasificación. La partida estaba bastante equilibrada y terminó de forma pacífica tras el juego preciso de ambas jugadoras.
La WCM ucraniana de 15 años, Bozhena Piddubna, se unió al mando de Fataliyeva y García Martín tras derrotar a la ocho veces campeona de España, MI Sabrina Vega Gutiérrez (ESP, 2383). Al acercarse a la fase de apuros de tiempo, Vega cometió un error y se rindió unos movimientos más tarde. Clasificada sólo en 2005, la ucraniana Bozhena Piddubna ha obtenido un impresionante resultado de 2697, ¡y ya ha sumado más de 150 puntos Elo para el próximo escalafón!
