19/01/2004 – Con su victoria en la última ronda sobre Harikrishna pudo el inglés Nigel Short alzarse con el título de Campeón de la Commonwealth 2004, logrando 7,5 puntos en un torneo disputado en Mumbai (antigua Bombay) disputado por el sistema suizo a 9 rondas, en el que se dieron cita más de 150 jugadores.
