02/12/2001 – Morozevich, Sakaev, Gelfand, Ye, Ponomariov, Svidler y Dreev ganaron sus partidas. Anand y Shirov (como el resto) hicieron tablas en sus respectivos enfrentamientos, contra Tkachiev y Motilev. En la competición femenina sólo una de las ocho partidas quedó sin decidir.
