El lugar del encuentro es Gebze (Turquía). Entre los participantes haz 25 grandes maestros. El favorito de la sección absoluta es el iraní Parham Maghsoodloo. Otros participantes conocidos son, por ejemplo, Jorden van Foreest, Alexander Donchenko, y el gran maestro argentino Alan Pichot. La favorita de la sección femenina es la griega Stavroula Tsolakidou.
