Divya Deshmukh derrotó cómodamente a WFM Sachi Jain en la penúltima ronda del FIDE World Junior 2024 Girls. Divya consiguió una posición dominante en menos de 20 movimientos. La convirtió en un punto en las siguientes jugadas. La WIM Mariam Mkrtchyan (ARM) se anotó otra victoria para seguir en la pugna por el oro. Prácticamente se ha asegurado la plata, ya que está sólo medio punto por detrás de Divya, con 8,5/10, y un punto por delante del resto. La GMF Rakshitta Ravi y la WIM Ayan Allahverdiyeva (AZE) tienen 7,5/10 cada una. La WGM Beloslava Krasteva (BUL) será el último desafío de Divya para ganar el torneo. Mariam se enfrentará a Rakshitta. En la prueba abierta, el GM Mamikon Gharibyan (ARM) derrotó al MI Rudik Makarian para hacerse con el liderato en solitario 8/10.
