Campeonato Europeo de Rápidas y Blitz

05/10/2002 – Movsesian y Banikas se han convertido, respectivamente, en campeones de Europa en la modalidad de ajedrez relámpago y rápido. Los torneos se disputaron en Creta, organizados por el Kydon Sports Club de Chania, entre el 29 de septiembre y el 4 de octubre.
