Campeonato Individual de Alemania 2004

10/02/2004 – Con unas tablas en la última ronda del LXXV Campeonato Individual de Alemania, que se disputó en Höckendorf (cerca de Dresde), Alexander Graf, de Leipzig, se llevó el título, alcanzando el registro record de 7,5 puntos en 9 rondas, con uno de ventaja sobre su perseguidor. Tras dos subcampeonatos en 2000 y 2002, a la tercera logró los laureles. En segunda posición quedó el hamburgués Jan Gustafsson (6,5/9) y el bronce fue para su paisano Thies Heinemann (6), aficionado que superó a muchos profesionales de nivel internacional.
