Campeonato Mundial de Veteranos

01/12/2003 – Entre los días 16 y 29 de noviembre, se disputó en Bad Zwischenahn el XIII Campeonato del Mundo de Veteranos. En la competición masculina, con 271 participantes, se impuso el ruso Yuri Shabanov (9/11), empatado con Janis Klovans y Vladimir Bukal. En féminas triunfó la georgiana Tamara Khmiadashvili (7,5/9) seguida de Marta Litinskaja y Hanna Erenska-Barlo. Participaron 22 jugadoras. Con el control de tiempos en la variante de blitz se impuso Vladimir Karasev (12,5/13)
