21/04/2002 – Se viene disputando desde el pasado 31 de marzo en Holguín, con la participación de los 18 mejores ajedrecistas cubanos del momento, que compiten por el sistema de liga a una vuelta. Lenier Domínguez y Neuris Delgado mantienen una dura pugna por el título: sólo falta una ronda y ambos comparten el liderato con 12 puntos. El joven Lenier ha superado la barrera de los 2600 puntos Elo, siendo el primer ajedrecista cubano en lograrlo. Tiene más información y partidas en la web de Jaque.
